Updated: Feb 10, 2020
Hi there, welcome to DROP's first Road Report. This is a guide to the roads of Penang. We want to provide you with information about what's happening (food, traffic and parking) along the streets of Penang.
Also, we are giving you a heads up with MBPP, JPJ and Police behaviour at those streets. đźđŒââïžđđ
Intro to Beach Street
One of the oldest streets in George Town, Penang. It was built not long after Captain Francis Light founded Penang in 1786.
Nowadays, Beach Street is filled with old shophouses at one end, and banks and government offices on the other. The banking part of Beach Street is part of Penang's Central Business District with banks such as Standard Charted, HSBC, OCBC and Bank of China.
Government offices such as Penang Immigration Department, Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Pulau Pinang, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Pulau Pinang, Ministry Of Tourism and Culture Penang and more.

Good Food along Beach Street
There's a ton of good food at Beach Street, catering to everyone from tourists to office workers all throughout the street.

Ali Nasi Lemak Daun Pisang
Famous on Beach Street, Ali Nasi Lemak is a cheap and delicious Nasi Lemak Stall right in front of Sri Weld Food Court. You can always find a queue lining to buy packets of Nasi Lemak. đ¶đŒââïžđ¶đŒââïžđ¶đŒââïž

Unlike a lot of bubble tea joints popping up all over Penang, Gao Enough Tea is native Penang bubble tea joint. Their drinks come in a transparent bottle that looks like vintage soda cans. (I liked the can so much that I kept it đ)
Their milk tea is unique, there's a nice combination of saltiness and sweetness which they affectionately refer to as Humsup Milk Tea.
