Do's and Don't during the COVID-19 Movement Control Order

The Prime Minister announced a restrictive movement order across the country. All houses of worship and business premises must be closed except for supermarkets, public markets, convenience stores and convenience stores selling everyday necessities. That includes our favourite food places.

Stay safe from COVID-19, here are some ways you can prevent yourself from contracting the virus.

Avoid Going Out As Much As You Can

We recommend high risks groups people (the elderly and people with medical conditions) to stay home as much as possible. For everyone else, here's what you should take note of.


  1. Running Low on Essentials? Go to the store and return promptly

  2. Weddings/Celebrations/Feasts are Restricted. Only wedding ceremonies with a small number of attendees are permitted. Wedding receptions are not permitted.

  3. Airport Pickup Allowed. Fast and quick

  4. Picking Up People Who are Working in Essential Services. Quick and fast

  5. Restaurants Takeaway and Drive-thru only (Drive-Thru with DROP)

Take Care of Your Hygiene

Always keep yourself clean from unhygienic things.

  1. Wash your hands with soap or use a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol for at least 20 seconds.

  2. Sneeze and cough into tissues, handkerchief or the crook of your elbow.

  3. If you get mucus or spit on your skin, clean it off right away.

  4. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.

  5. Avoid close contact with people who are sick, especially people who are exhibiting respiratory symptoms and fever.

  6. Regularly clean surfaces, such as table and doorknobs, with a disinfectant.

  7. Pay attention to where you put your phone down.

Maintain social distancing

Keep at least 1-meter distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets that might include COVID-19 virus and other diseases.

What to do if you feel sick

This will also protect you & your loved ones. Also, it helps prevent the spread of viruses and other infections.

  1. Stay home if you feel sick.

  2. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance.

  3. Follow the instructions from your local health authority.
